Risk assessments have to be carried out before an education visit as the college is obliged to assess risks to staff and students of all activities that it carries out. A risk assessment is divided into three parts those being the identification of possible hazards, the level of risk of hazard and the actions taken to reduce risk of hazards.
Where | Hazard | Level | Minimise risk |

Accommodation | Hostel fire | Low | Make sure you are aware where the exits, fire safety points and fire extinguishers are located. |
Transport | Lost luggage | Low | Be vigilant and keep a close eye on your luggage and belongings, if lost inform a member of staff at the airport who can check lost property. |
